Profile His current research includes urban and regional sociology, political sociology, political economy, comparative perspectives on urban politics, citizenship, migration, and border regimes. He has written extensively on neoliberalization and citizenship in urban social space. His main publications in relation to the symposium theme are “Urban Citizenship and the Right to the City: The Fragmentation of Claims” (2015), in the International Journal for Urban and Regional Research (Symposium), with Talja Blokland, Christine Hentschel, Andrej Holm and Talia Margalit, and “Local Border Practices and Urban Citizenship in Europe. Exploring Urban Borderlands” (2013), in CITY. Analysis of Urban Trends, Culture, Theory, Policy, Action.
